Tower Heating Equipment Co. was established by Sidney Brodman in 1946 in Bridgeport, CT as a supplier of warm air heating equipment. In 1971, when Cal Wendy joined the company, Tower began to develop and expand the business into the control end of the HVAC industry. It is currently the largest distributor of HVAC controls in the State of Connecticut, selling Honeywell, Johnson, Invensys, Siemens, Belimo, TCS Basys and other quality brands of controls along with a variety of HVAC equipment. In 1977, the company changed its location to Stratford, CT , where it occupies a warehouse that houses the most extensive inventory of controls in New England. At that time, the name of the company was changed to Tower Equipment Co., Inc.

In 1988, John McNabney came aboard. John has been instrumental in bringing the company into the Computer Age with DDC building management systems. We have broadened our horizons to include the design and fabrication of sophisticated control panels that have been installed in numerous universities, schools, hospitals, and commercial establishments. Tower also presents product and training seminars to instruct its customers in control application and installation.

Tower continues to be the leader in the field of HVAC controls for Connecticut and surrounding areas.

John McNabney – President, BSME Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute, ten years in Product Engineering for the Trane Company, four year Manager of Engineering for Carnes Company, and one year as Vice-President of Engineering for Tuttle & Bailey, four years as President of Environmental Control Technology. Joined Tower after selling ECT in 1988. Technical support, systems design, training, programming and project costing.

Paul Meyers – Twenty years experience as Field Technician - Inside Sales and Tech Support including Electronic, Pneumatic, and DDC Controls
